Residential Solar Questions
Is this really free?
Yes, this program is funded through government initiatives to produce renewable energy using your tax dollars.
Is there upfront costs?
For most there is no upfront cost other than cheap electricity.
Are there hidden fees?
Absolutely not. We value transparency and ensure you understand every detail.
How do I know this isn't a scam?
We are a certified partner in a government-approved program with hundreds of satisfied clients.
This seems too good to be true?
We make money the same way the utility company does, by selling electricity right here where you use it. Rather than shipping it from another state at a higher cost, we can sell it to you for less.
How much does it cost?
Its government funded, as long as your house qualifies, there is no charge for the equipment or the installation. We provide everything to you at no cost. It’s not “free” - you still pay for your power, but it costs 30-50% less because it’s a lot less expensive to make power from the sun. If we check a few things, we can show you exactly how it would work for your home.
Why do I have to sign a contract?
Solar panels don’t last forever, they are good for 25-30 years. We maintained the system for 25 years. If anything breaks, we fix it at no cost to you. We put a cell unit on the system so if it isn’t working properly, we’ll contact you and come fix it at no cost.
Can you email me with the info?
Yes, absolutely! After we get the free analysis done for you, we’ll email you a copy as well. But there are a few things we have to go over with you first, to make sure we have everything right. We can do it by zoom, or we can swing by.
Where can I look this up online?
You can find some general info here online, but nothing that will be super helpful because every house is different. There are some things we have to physically check at your home or business.
Why do you need my power bill?
The bill will show us how much power you’re using - that’s how we figure out how many solar panels you need as well as show us your current utility rates. Then we can provide an accurate cost comparison side by side.
We don't use much power. Our bill is low.
Typically, low power bills speak more towards conservation than power in your area being inexpensive. In the past Solar didn't make much sense for lower bills, but with the new federal funding , it can make sense now even if your bill is on the lower side.
We can't afford Solar. Money is tight.
Understood, money is tight for everyone these days. Net metering is government-funded so you don't have to pay for the panels, upgrades to your electrical panel, a Solar battery, and even installation.
Do they check your credit?
We do a soft pull to verify title and credit. It's not a hard pull, so it doesn't affect your credit. We need to make sure you own the home. The program is unsecured and there is no lien. 550 is the minimum currently.
What kind of panels / batteries do you use?
That depends on the specifics of your home - every house is a little different. We customize everything to be the best fit for each house. *There are a few things for us to check and then we can get you a free analysis and show you exactly what equipment we’re recommending.
What if my roof is too old?
Age doesn’t matter too much - what’s important is the condition and how much life it has left.
What if we move in a few years?
When you sell the house whoever buys it just switches the electricity bill into their name just like when you moved in. This is a power utility just like your power company, but instead of paying for power from another state it's generated on your roof which translates to 40% - 60% savings on your power bill.
What makes you different from all the other solar companies out there?
Most other Solar companies only offer one product or service. We work with all the top Solar companies in the United States. This allows us to offer better pricing, faster installation and the best products in the industry to the consumer. When our customers are happy and save we all win.
I am not sure if I like the look of Solar.
Solar has changed a lot. We can now move the panels around to different parts of the roof. The old panels were 3 different colors. Navy, with white lines and aluminum framing. Today we use the triple black low profile panels. Looks like a flat screen tv. Panels are also so common today like power lines we just get so use to them we don’t really notice them after awhile.
